Partnership with Arburg: New injection molding machine in the technical centre

Last year, we received several orders for 2K moulds. In order to be able to sample these efficiently, we invested in an additional injection moulding unit for our existing 150-tonne Arburg injection moulding machine. As the series moulds were too large for our smallest pilot plant machine, an alternative solution had to be found quickly.

Initial discussions with Arburg about a loan machine took place in mid-2023. In the weeks that followed, the catalogue of requirements for our fourth injection moulding machine was defined and the rough time frame outlined. By October 2023, we were able to achieve technical clarity and finalise the framework conditions for the loan together with Arburg. After a construction period of less than 20 weeks, machine acceptance took place at the headquarters in Lossburg. Since March 2024, the new injection moulding machine has taken its permanent place in the VTW technical centre and is used for the sampling of 2K moulds.
